While researching new ideas for our Abstract Rhythms program, I ran across an amazing website that related to the content of the program.
In our program, students mimic the drip painting technique of artist Jackson Pollock to create a large class mural. Students can create that same experience at home without the mess by visiting the virtual painting website jacksonpollock.org. Simply move your mouse around the blank screen to create "paint" splatters and drips. Click the mouse to change color. Want to start over? Refresh your screen and you've got a blank canvas! The website was voted the People’s Voice Winner in Netart of the 2009 Webby Awards. Enjoy!
