Stand in a Bubble!

Have you ever been in a bubble? Well you can at Kidspace! The theme of the month for August is Bubbles. Today at Kidspace, visitors were able to stand in a pool of soap, while a giant bubble covered them. The children were eager to see themselves in a bubble. The Educators and volunteers at Kidspace were able to assist in the bubbles, but also teach the children how to make them. While the children waited to be next in line, they were able to play with a variety of bubble tools. Spinning or blowing into the tools, the children and parents were able to make all shapes and sizes of bubbles. It was not only fun for the children, but the parents were able to participate in the fun.

Not only are the children just playing with the bubbles, they are also learning how the solution is made and how bubbles are formed. Bubbles are a great way to have fun, but also to learn.

Try this recipe for bubble solution at home:

2/3 cup Joy original dishwashing soap
1 gallon water
2 to 3 tablespoons of glycerin (available in pharmacies)

The solution gets better with age! Just don't allow the water to evaporate or the solution will be work as well. Enjoy!
